Privacy Policy

ArcSignal is built to be private by design. This page explains, in plain English, exactly what we do and do not do with your information.

Last updated: June 25, 2026
The short version

Your watchlist and price history are stored on your own device. ArcSignal has no account system, performs no data harvesting, and never sees, sells, or shares what you track. We read prices only on the store pages you choose to track, and nothing else.

1. Who we are

ArcSignal is a privacy-first price tracker delivered as a browser extension and operated by Birchwood Group LLC (“ArcSignal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to the ArcSignal extension and to this website. By installing the extension or using the site, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information stored on your device

When you track a product, ArcSignal records the information needed to give you a price history and a buy-or-wait verdict. This typically includes the product title, the store, the page address of the item, the prices observed over time, and any target price you set. This information is stored locally in your browser using standard extension storage. It stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

If your browser is configured to sync extension data across your own devices, that synchronization is performed by your browser under your account with the browser vendor, not by ArcSignal.

3. Information we do not collect

ArcSignal does not require an account, so we do not collect a name, email address, or password to use the core product. We do not build advertising profiles, we do not read or store your general browsing history, and we do not access pages other than the supported store pages you choose to track. ArcSignal does not inject affiliate links and does not take credit for your purchases.

4. How we use information

The information stored on your device is used solely to operate features you have asked for: maintaining your watchlist, charting price history, calculating buy-or-wait verdicts, and triggering price drop and target-price notifications. ArcSignal checks current prices on the store pages of items you track so it can update history and alert you to changes.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies

The ArcSignal extension does not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. This marketing website may use essential cookies or local storage required for the page to function and, where applicable, privacy-respecting analytics described below. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.

6. Analytics

We may collect limited, aggregated, and anonymized usage signals to understand whether features work and to fix problems, such as counts of how often a feature is used. Where analytics are used, they are configured to avoid identifying individuals and are never tied to the contents of your watchlist.

7. Payments and subscriptions

ArcSignal Pro is processed by a third-party payment provider. When you upgrade, your payment details are handled directly by that provider under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive only the limited information required to confirm your subscription status, such as whether your plan is active. We do not store full payment card numbers.

8. How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in narrow circumstances: with service providers such as our payment processor strictly to deliver the service, or when required by law, such as a valid legal request. Your watchlist is never part of any such sharing because we do not have it.

9. Your choices and controls

Because your data lives on your device, you are in control. You can stop tracking any item, clear your watchlist, or remove the extension at any time, which deletes the data ArcSignal stored in your browser. You can manage or cancel a Pro subscription through the payment provider used at checkout.

10. Data retention

Price history and watchlist data remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the extension. Any limited subscription-status information needed to keep Pro active is retained only for as long as it is required to provide and account for the service.

11. Security

ArcSignal is built on Manifest V3, the current Chrome security model, and requests only the permissions needed to track the stores it supports. Keeping your watchlist on your own device reduces the risk that a central breach could expose what you are shopping for. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we design conservatively to minimize exposure.

12. Children’s privacy

ArcSignal is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can address it.

13. International users

ArcSignal can be used worldwide. Because your watchlist stays on your device, it is not transferred across borders by us. Where any limited information is processed by our service providers, it may be handled in the countries where those providers operate, consistent with applicable law.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves or as laws change. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of ArcSignal after an update means you accept the revised policy.

15. Contact us
